The tour to the Palm gives me a new perspective on Dubai.

The Palm is the largest man-made island in the world, and you can see this cute palm-shaped island from space.

More importantly, the Palm is evidence that Dubai's city planning has a deep business strategy at its core.

Before the trip, I would have assumed that The Palm was just an artificial island, and because it is Dubai, anything crazy and extravagant could happen. People who know little about Dubai would have thought that it had become so wealthy because of oil that they could do whatever they wanted. However, this is not the case, and there is much more to it than this stereotype.

What I can see is that they had a specific goal in mind from the start. Today, Dubai has a new moniker: "a playground for the rich."

However, there are a variety of exciting experiences accessible at a wide range of price points.

If you have a larger budget, you can enjoy the most incredible service at a higher price.

If you think "golden toilets" is the kind of luxury style they only have, this is honestly outdated.

There are a lot of settings with chic and elegant designs that cater to the most sophisticated clientele.

The fact that it is hot all year may not sound appealing, but they used the hot weather to their advantage. People enjoy spending their vacations here.

This is more than just tourism. People can sense that there are many business opportunities there as well. Social media also provides free advertising from influencers all over the world, regardless of whether they are individual accounts, nano, micro, or macro-influencers. It gives an endless buzz to keep going.

All these contribute to the robust economy of Dubai. It took less than 50 years to become a world-renowned city on par with the likes of global metropolitans like Hong Kong, Tokyo, London, New York, and LA, etc.

When there is a place or something that becomes successful in a short period, there must be a reason.

My POV: This is not a place for class socialism and equality; rather, it is a place for business and opportunities.
